Crayford Town Centre

The civic and shopping heart of Crayford, on the River Cray.

Crayford town centre sits on the A2000 (the old A207) where the River Cray runs through the heart of the town, in the London Borough of Bexley. It is the civic and shopping focus of the area, with the High Street, the Clock Tower war memorial, the Old Library, and Crayford Town Hall — a building originally put up as a canteen for workers at the Vickers factory during the First World War.

## Shopping in Crayford Town Centre

The town centre is best known today as a retail destination. Just off the High Street, Tower Retail Park on Crayford Road brings big-name stores including Next, Currys, Boots, Smyths Toys, Sports Direct, Hobbycraft, Pets at Home and Poundland, with large Sainsbury's and Aldi supermarkets opposite. The older High Street keeps a parade of independent shops, takeaways, and services.

## Getting Around

Crayford railway station is a short walk from the centre, with Southeastern services towards London Charing Cross and Cannon Street in one direction and Dartford and Gravesend in the other. The town is on several bus routes linking it to Bexleyheath, Erith, and Dartford.

## Green Space

The River Cray is bordered by Waterside Gardens, a riverside park in the centre of town with the David Evans Pavilion, giving the busy town centre a quieter green heart.
